The festival of colors is nearly here, and the enthusiasm can be felt in the air. As the spirits soared, the weather became warmer. The fusion of color and excitement is ringing our door. We are all ready to welcome and embrace the fun of the Holi Festival. A variety of color shops have appeared in the busy market, with a variety of fountain guns and colorful balloons available for purchase. However, precautions must be taken because playing Holi may be harmful to the skin and hair. Pre Holi

•    Skincare:

Mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with olive oil and apply the mixture to the face and neck. Be sure to reach the area behind your ear. You can also use mustard oil for the same purpose. Sunscreen helps protect the skin while playing with color. Also, try wearing full clothes to avoid direct contact with color. In addition, it is highly recommended that you do not any makeup while playing Holi. Let the colors be the makeup on your face.

•    Haircare:

Be sure to oil your hair properly before playing Holi. Colors often stick to the scalp and can cause a variety of hair problems. You can use any oil, but coconut oil is the best choice. If you have long hair, it is wise to tie your hair into a bun or ponytails.

•    Lips

Lips also collect color, you can use any lip balm or even lipstick to shield your lips. You can also apply ghee on your lips as it helps protect your lips from the harmful chemicals in colors.

•    Nails

Color usually penetrates the nails of your fingers and the effect can be harmful. It is recommended that you paint your nails very brightly or immerse your fingers in a mixture of coconut and olive oil before stepping out of your house to play Holi.

•    Skin Care

First of all, do not use ordinary bath soap to scrub the color. Use a cream-based soap or oil to remove color. You can't rub your skin at all times. Gently massage with cream soap and oil. Second, use a moisturizer to keep your skin moisturized. Finally, if the color tends to persist, you can apply a simple besan (gram flour), milk powder and lavender oil mixture to your body for about 20 minutes. Take a shower and repeat if necessary.

•    For Oily Skin

Prepare a mixture of milk powder, papaya and lemon juice. Apply the mixture on the face and leave for about half an hour. Wipe with a wet towel or rinse with water.

•    For Dry Skin

Crush bananas and mix them with 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey. Now add a pinch of salt and rub for about 10 minutes. Wash and rinse with water.

•    Hair Care

Wash your head and scalp first using only water. Now use a shampoo and conditioner to wash your head again. You can also apply coconut oil or olive oil and leave it for half an hour. Take a shower and rinse well with a shampoo.

Strictly speaking, Holi skin and hair care tips before and after Holi are essential to provide you with complete protection against the harmful and potentially toxic colors used during Holi. In addition, you can always take a stand for organic colors and encourage others to use them instead of ordinary colors. Be careful when playing Holi and avoid attacking eyes, ears and other vital parts of the body. We wish you a happy and happy Holi!
