FOODS THAT ARE HIGH IN FIBRE FOR HEALTHY METABOLISM
Fibre is an important part of a balanced diet, and it is important for the healthy functioning of the gut. It is a non-digestible plant-derived carbohydrate. It can further be divided into two parts: soluble and insoluble. Soluble fibre mixes with water from the food you eat. Insoluble fibre, also known as roughage, helps us in the excretion process. WHOLE GRAINS
Whole grains such as Wheat, Barley, Corn are rich in fibre and must be a part of our regular diet. In India, most people consume whole grains as the main part of their diet.
FLAXSEEDS
Flaxseeds are another amazing food rich in fibre that you can add to your diet. You can add it into your smoothie too. Flax seeds are loaded with nutrients such as Omega 3’s and Lignans.
NUTS
Instead of munching down unhealthy snacks, you can enjoy healthy nuts like almonds, pistachios, peanuts, and walnuts. They also assist in healthy bowel movements.
FRUITS
Some fruits like Apple and Pear are a great source of fibre. You can eat them as chopped or as a whole. It is not advised to peel the fruits as they are a great source of fibre too.
BROCCOLI
A single cup of Broccoli has almost 5.1 grams of fibre. You can make broccoli a part of your salad whilst lunch or dinner.
OATS
